FCA Celebration of Champions Boys & Girls Basketball Sports Banquet

Panhandle FCA is proud to announce that it will host its inaugural “Celebration of Champions” basketball sports banquet. This event will be a celebration of basketball in the Texas Panhandle, and those who both play and coach basketball! Boys and girls varsity basketball players (those players who played at least 50% of the season on the varsity roster), varsity basketball coaches, and executive school administration are invited to this event. No sub-varsity or junior high players, or general public are invited to attend this event. Non-MVP parents can attend but must pay for this meal ($12 each).

Because we are honoring the players and coaches of all attending varsity basketball teams in the Panhandle, there will be NO COST to any players, MVP parents, coaches, or administrators for this event! Each year we will bring in a high profile speaker of excellence to encourage and motivate all who hear their uplifting and life-giving words.

Details to follow.

Additionally, for each team that attends, we will ask all the players to elect one player as their FCA “MVP.” We will send each coach the criteria for this election and the winning player will be selected by the popular vote of their teammates. The criteria will center around the four (4) core values of FCA which are: Integrity; Teamwork; Service; and Excellence. All the selected FCA MVP’s will be highly honored during this event, and each will walk away with an FCA Basketball MVP award. At some point during the evening, a picture will be taken with each team’s MVP, their Head coach, and our speaker. We anticipate that all MVP winners will be featured in our local newspaper. Each MVP’s parents will also be invited to this event.

Each team needs to have a designated banquet contact who will be responsible for keeping up with attendance commitments of players, coaches, administrators, and the MVP’s parent, and who will submit these numbers to FCA at the appropriate deadline dates.

Details of this year’s banquet are as follows:
