2018 FCA Game Day Rally - Check-in begins at 1:30 PM

Sat, October 6, 20182:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Our annual WTAMU FCA Game Day Rally will be a great time of ridiculous fun, spiritual inspiration, and incredible fellowship as you'll be joined by over 1,000 other students from across the Panhandle for an afternoon that you will not want to miss. The event will be held on Saturday, October 6, in the First United Bank Events Center on the southeast corner of the WTAMU campus.

Javier Castaneda is lifelong Panhandle native born and raised in Lubbock, Texas and a graduate of Monterey High School. Throughout his life, he has become very acquainted with the struggles and consequences of poor judgement and bad decisions. More than the struggles, Javier has learned of the unwavering love and unfailing grace that God extends toward those who love and serve Him. Through prayer and community, Javier has been able to break free from a long-term drug addiction that almost sidelined him for life. In his darkest hour, God came to his rescue and revealed His heart through the love demonstrated at the Cross by Jesus Christ. Because of this, Javier has made it his life’s mission to combat hopelessness and spread the good news of God’s love for every person. It is his heart to use every breath for the purpose of telling people that if God loves them they win!

Javi, and his wife Erika, both serve on the staff of The Worship Center church in Lubbock where Javi is the Executive Pastor.

Local area musicians will provide praise music giving this event high energy, upbeat, contemporary Christian worship. Two WTAMU athletes will be sharing their testimonies during the event.

In return for paying only $10 to attend this event, students will receive a one-of-a-kind Game Day tee shirt; a ticket to the football game; a fresh cooked hamburger dinner; the speaker, and the music.
Deadline for registration is Monday, Oct. 1.

Adult Sponsors should enter through the front doors (located on the east side of the events center) in order to pay for their students and to pick-up tee shirts and game tickets. Students should wait and enter through the side doors (located on the south side of the events center). Check-in for the rally begins at 1:30 PM, with the program beginning at 2:30 PM, with the message and rally concluding around 4:00 PM, and DINNER being served at 4:00 PM.  Everyone will need to immediately head over to Kimbrough Stadium as the football game begins at 6:00 PM.  This rally is Panhandle FCA's largest student ministry outreach event of the year, with an average of over 1,000 in attendance in each of the last five years.
